Why does this stuff always come out after the election?

Not that it matters now, but it turns out that Joe the anti-redistributionist plumber got help from welfare twice as a child, and says it helped his family work its way into the middle class and become productive taxpayers. That’s exactly how welfare is supposed to work -- if Joe actually paid his taxes, that is.

And more disturbingly, it looks like Sarah Palin was even less fit for the vice-president than we ever imagined. She couldn’t name the countries that have signed in to NAFTA (hint: there are only three, and they’re all in North America) and didn’t realize that Africa is a continent, not a country. If this were something on Jay Leno’s “Jaywalking'” segment, it would be funny. But knowing that this women came so close to the White House is scary.

(Both videos are from Fox, because me conservative friends wouldn’t believe it if any other network aired it.)

Glad to hear you're looking forward to wealth redistribution - be assured you aren't going to be one of the recipients. But you will get to pay. BTW, how much control did Joe have over getting welfare when he was a child? Do you want your 50 cents back? Superiority complex much?

And as far as Palin - that's crap and you know it. You aren't stupid enough to believe that she could have gotten to where she is with that degree of ignorance. Do you also believe that Obama thinks there are 57 states? How about some of Biden's stupid statements? Bitter campaigner losers decide to bear false witness and you decide to help. Way to go.

  2. Superiority complex? My family also benefitted from welfare when I was a child. I'm happy it existed -- it allowed me to grow up into the middle class, and I've more than paid it back in taxes -- again, exactly how the program is supposed to work.

And I hate to break it to you, but the "socialism" you're so afraid of is already happening, to the tune of $700 billion.

I do believe Sarah Palin is that ignorant. I saw the her performance in TV interviews and the debate. That McCain picked her as a running mate is mind-boggling, and if you look at the polls, you'll see it led to his defeat.
