Superb job, Rumsfeld.

Islamic Web site claims revenge killing

"A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site showed the beheading of an American civilian in Iraq, and said the execution was carried out by an al-Qaida affiliated group to avenge the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by American soldiers."

Nic Berg truly owes you a debt of gratitude.

I think what they did to Nic Berg was disgusting and they need to find whoever is responsible for this and do the same to them...An eye for an eye...

  2. No doubt. Al Qaeda and their ilk are savages. But I fear the prison abuse makes it much tougher to win over moderate Iraqis -- and much easier for terrorist groups to recruit new memebers. So in that sense, our ill-conceived and badly managed invasion has made Americans more vulnerable, not safer.

I am no fan of Rummy but there is no way you can hang this on him. Revenge, my ass - if it weren't for the prison abuses, it would have been because he was Jewish (or his surname is), or any other of a dozen excuses these adherents of a peaceful religion usually devise.

Rumsfeld is a piece of crap. Zarqawi's a piece of crap. You might as well blame Zarqawi for Rummy's crap - it's just as accurate as blaming Rummy for Zarqawi's.

  4. Rumsfeld has allowed a bad situation to spiral out of control because he stubbornly refuses to send more troops -- and advocated this idiotic neocon adventure in the first place.

The invasion was supposed to make Americans safer. It's clearly not doing that. And its flabbergasting to hear Bush laud Rumsfeld's "strong leadership" and "superb" handling of this mess. It's as if he's on a whole other planet.

you collage kids need to get a real job and stop all your analitical shit This crap of "where are the weapons of mass destruction and all the other *&%% that is being commented on since the end of the war. I spent 1 year there during and after the war and you sense and see the fact that the common person on the street didn't know anything that went on in a complex just out side their town so don't use this war for your political ajenda, you need to spend some time seeing the childeren that are happy to be able to be free and the adults that are finaly able to do what they please. They have not be able to do half the stuff they do now during the saddam times. so grow up get a life and when you alll have done somthing for your country except protest and complain from inside your protected dorm then you have the right to talk all your shit.

And you need to go to college, if nothing else to learn the correct spelling of "college."

  7. Um, I've graduated and been working at a real job for 10 years now. Don't you dare tell me I can't have an opinion about the war because I haven't served in the military. Because it hasn't stopped Dick Cheney.

But congratulations for showing up for your military service. It's more than we can say for our so-called commander-in-chief.

"...since the end of the war."

The war's over? Does that mean we get to fly to Mars now?

He didn't say "college kids." He means kids that put together those photography art collages.
